The library of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences sees itself as a service institution for research, studies and teaching. We offer extensive access to scientific journals, subject databases, e-books, e-journals and books and procure printed and electronic media worldwide. We are happy to advise you on literature research and support you in scientific publishing.

The library is a place that facilitates individual learning as well as communicative interaction in a welcoming atmosphere.

Service Center Open Science

The Open Science service area will offer cross-site support for research data management (RDM) and areas of Open Science.

The Open Science services, which are still being developed, are managed at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences by various central institutions and business units, which are currently networking and coordinating their service portfolios.

The library at the Westerberg Campus supplies the faculties of Engineering and Computer Science and Economics and Social Sciences as well as the Institute of Music with literature. In addition to the selection of subject-relevant media, both in printed and electronic form, the library offers an extensive range of training and consulting services, such as teaching information literacy and support for subject-specific research.

The service center "Training and Consulting", located in the Westerberg Campus Library, is responsible for the creation and presentation of central offers such as online tutorials and videos. In addition, the other library locations are supported in their training and consulting services.

The library at the Haste Campus provides the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Landscape Architecture with literature. In addition to the selection of subject-relevant media, both in printed and electronic form, the library offers an extensive range of training and advisory services, such as teaching information literacy and support for subject-specific research.

With the "E-media" service center, the library at the Haste campus provides advice and support for the other library locations in the procurement of electronic resources. It coordinates the licensing, provision and maintenance of electronic specialist literature and e-journals as well as the specialist databases. Please submit acquisition proposals to the campus library responsible for you.

The library at the Lingen Campus provides the Faculty of Management, Culture and Technology with literature. In addition to the selection of subject-relevant media, both in printed and electronic form, the library offers an extensive range of training and consulting services, such as teaching information literacy and support for subject-specific research.

With the "Open Access" service center, the library at the Lingen campus offers cross-location advice and support for publication projects at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.

Library IT

Library IT is responsible for the hardware and software environment at the three library locations. It supports IT projects and technical processes of the library and is the contact point for service providers and customers.

Support requests for the library's IT systems can be submitted centrally to bibadmin@hs-osnabrueck.de. Inquiries about university services such as VPN or Eduroam should use the options provided by the ServiceDesk.
