Special features of the module

The module consists of the courses "The empirical research process incl. literature search" (LE 1), "Quantitative methods" (LE2 2) and "Qualitative methods" (LE 3).

Brief description

The module is designed to acquire a basic understanding of the research process. Starting from the exploratory phase, this includes the logic of the research process itself as well as the need for research in the therapy professions. Furthermore, basic knowledge about study designs as well as about methods of qualitative and quantitative empirical health research is provided. The focus is on acquiring methodological competence for understanding and applying research processes and results.
