- Knowledge Understanding
Students integrate their knowledge of principles of motor learning and of measurement instruments into complex therapy situations. They make informed decisions regarding the selection of measurement instruments based on their scientific knowledge of current methods and designs. They can independently select and apply measurement instruments and assessments in their own research projects, such as the Master's thesis.
- Application and Transfer
Students can put what they have learned into practice to generate clinical research questions
The students carry out medical training therapies for lumbar and cervical syndromes. The students select measuring instruments and assessments of manual therapy case-related and according to scientific quality criteria. They apply various current measuring instruments and assessments in manual therapy. They interpret the results against the background of quality criteria and scope of application. The students organise their practical work at a scientific level. They use various evaluation instruments, e.g. questionnaires, goniometers, inclinometers, isokinetics, electromyography, 2D and 3D marker systems, structural measuring instruments, sonography and radiology as well as quantitative sensory testing and evaluate the corresponding results.
- Academic Innovation
By combining evidence bases and new teaching (skills, theories and models), new research question can emerge in the field.
- Communication and Cooperation
Students will be able to discuss neuromusculoskeletal issues in a professional, evidence-based and methodologically sound manner and to answer and present questions.
The students present the application possibilities and quality criteria of various measuring instruments and assessments in manual therapy to specialists or colleagues. They take responsibility in the team for integrating the latest methods into clinical practice and argue this.
