Kurzbeschreibung

This module aims at increasing the ability of students to select and use appropriate quantitative and qualitative research approaches, as well as to critically evaluate the outcomes in the context of real-world business case studies.

Bemerkung zur Prüfungsart

The portfolio-1 exam has a total of 100 points and consists of a homework (50 points) and a one-hour written exam (50 points).

The portfolio-2 exam has a total of 100 points and consists of a homework (50 points) and a report (50 points).

Prüfungsdauer und Prüfungsumfang

Homework: approx. 10 to 15 pages

Written examination: in accordance with the valid study regulations

Report: Presentation: approx. 20-30 minutes with a written report of approx. 5-10 pages.

The requirements are specified in the relevant class.

The students distinguish the major approaches to empirical research and differentiate phases of research process.

The students can describe central principles of empirical research, and differentiate terminology and conventions according to different major approaches.
